The Problem
After living in their home for many, many years, these Seniors were moving and needed help with both the move and getting the home ready to sell.
The Goal
Our priorities were a stress-free transition and to reduce the expenses of these homeowners. They wanted to move first, then sell their home. First, we got them packed and moved, then we focused on getting a swift, seamless sale.
The Solution
Downsizing is our specialty, and we knew exactly how to help. We worked with our trusted partners, broke the project into phases and created a schedule.
Phase 1: Get moved. Working with our professional Downsizing partners, this lovely couple were effortlessly packed up and moved into their suite. They organized, sorted and even created a detailed floor plan of their unit to ensure every favourite piece of furniture had its place. The result? When the couple walked into their new suite, the bed was made, the alarm clock was set, the furniture was perfectly arranged, and their art was already on the walls.
Phase 2: Prep the home to sell. In just a few short days, we got the Strata documents, arranged the carpet cleaners, and planned for the Downsizers to stage and clean the home so that it was picture-perfect. Then we brought in our photographer to capture the home looking its absolute best and launched the marketing campaign
Phase 3: The Final Hand-Off After a successful launch, we secured an Offer and the home was under contract, we prepared for the final steps. The downsizing team came in to clear the remaining contents—using an online auction for valuables and managing donations or disposal for the rest. Jay met with the client at their new home to sign paperwork, delivered keys and managed all the details needed to complete the sale.
The Result
The home was sold quickly and seamlessly. By managing every moving part from start to finish, we allowed the sellers to skip the stress and simply focus on enjoying their new home.
